WELLBOX: New therapeutic massager eases FM pain while reducing cellulite
A new product about to make its debut in high-end retail outlets this September is a portable therapeutic massager called Wellbox. Interactive, pre-programmed and fully automated, its unique dual rollers and suction not only reduces delayed muscle pain and soreness, but Wellbox also reduces the appearance of cellulite!
Dubbed as the “body optimizer,” Wellbox’s dual motorized rollers works much like a very good massage, except without the pain that sometimes accompany the pressure on muscles and tissue like a massage. Plus, you can use the Wellbox by yourself!
The National Fibromyalgia Association (NFA) is a nonprofit organization which recently partnered with the company which makes Wellbox - European -based Guitay with US headquarters in Miami . Clinical studies recently have shown that Wellbox has also dramatically helped reduce the symptoms of fibromyalgia, which includes muscle soreness and pain.
Guitay will be donating partial proceeds from sales of Wellbox to the National Fibromyalgia Association.
The Studies Dr. Chrisanne Gordon first began using the LPG technique to diminish the appearance of cellulite—but then she noticed another unexpected benefit. Her treatments also eased her fibromyalgia pain.
The Ohio physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor was so impressed with the technique’s effect on her that she developed a study looking at the LPG technique and its effect on fibromyalgia patients.
Presented at the Sixth World Congress on Myofascial Pain and Fibromyalgia, Dr. Gordon’s study found that subjects’ pain scores and the numbers of their painful tender points were reduced by treatments. Four of the ten participants experienced symptom reduction of 80 percent or greater. And all of them experienced a reduction in the appearance of cellulite.
Looking Forward Now renowned fibromyalgia researcher Dr. I. Jon Russell of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is in the final stages of a clinical trial looking at the Wellbox effect on fibromyalgia.
